Occupational Therapy (OT) Overview

Step 1: Comprehensive Evaluation Process

Our experienced occupational therapy team commences the therapy journey by conducting thorough evaluations The evaluation also identifies any obstacles that may hinder the individual from engaging in typical day-to-day activities. These evaluations assess various crucial areas, this includes:

  • how the child learns,
  • how the child plays,
  • how the child cares for themselves,
  • how the child interacts with their environment.

Step 2: Personalized Goals and Strategies

Based on the evaluation results, our KOALAFIEDTM occupational therapists create personalized goals and strategies to target key skills. Common examples of these goals include:

  • achieving independence in dressing
  • eating
  • grooming
  • using the bathroom
  • developing fine motor skills such as writing, coloring, and cutting with scissors.
